The Foundation Learning Programme forms one of the progression routes for young people onto an Apprenticeship. Or young people can start an Apprenticeship if they have achieved credits / experience from previous qualifications or jobs.
An Apprenticeship with RAISE means that you will receive one to one mentoring, coaching and training. We provide training facilities through our training centre, work in the community and through employers in the area. Our expert staff and volunteers will help you to achieve great results.
We will offer Apprenticeships in: Business, Construction, Electrical Engineering, and Landscaping and Gardening and recruit for community projects and a variety of companies in the region.
We will help young people realise their potential and achieve great results through the growth of a healthy community interest company, which is inspired by visionary leadership, shared values and goals, thriving on innovation and challenge.
A Raise Apprenticeship offers either full time employment or community based work plus
work-based training. Apprenticeships follow a structured training programme and on completion achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
An Apprenticeship will take between 12-18 months, an Advanced Apprenticeship will take between 18-24 months.
RAISE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners and expect all staff, sub contractors, visitors, employers and others learners to share this commitment.
Apprenticeships allow you to work for an employer whilst training for a qualification. You will gain practical experience and receive a wage/salary. You will receive in-company training and one to one support from your Training Officer / Functional skills Trainer. There are five parts to an Apprenticeship:
This is proof you have the skills you need at work and the ability to complete tasks within your job role.
This part of the Apprenticeship teaches the knowledge you need to have about your Occupation.
Focuses on the skills that are used in every job. You will work on Maths, English and ICT.
This will help you to understand the rights and responsibilities you have as an employee and also the responsibilities of your employer.
This will help you process, evaluate and plan decisions, think creatively, reflect on progress, work in teams, organise yourself and participate effectively in issues that effect you.
