Economical Commitment

In the next few years there will be a considerable change of public sector capacity to develop and deliver effective services to our communities. Raise the Youth is a community interest company which has been set up because of our concern of the significant impact that the current economic climate will have, and our capacity to invest in our future.

During the current economic climate many local youth providers may be unable to continue to provide children and young people with the services and support they need; impacting on poverty, and consequently increasing youth unemployment, offending, substance misuse and anti social behaviour, increasing numbers of victims, and increasing conflict, homelessness, and physical and mental health problems.Securing positive outcomes for young people ‘in need’ and their positive participation and contribution to their communities will be at the centre of the Raise’s objectives.

Raise’s community interest company model has been developed to stand alongside, not against, our strategic partners, and enable us to help tackle the challenges that lie ahead, and ensure we can collectively deliver quality results, but we understand that to produce and deliver quality services; we require creative new responses to supplement the reduction in the traditional funding streams. Raise will aim to develop a mix of funding sources combining access to national and local grants, commissions, donations and contributions, and also create trade based income ventures from various sources so we can work collaboratively with the public sector and traditional third sector organisations to meet need. We want to ensure we are innovative, creative, collaborative, and effective.

We are charged with the mission of supporting children, young people and neighbourhoods to be able to manage money, debt, and find creative solutions to gain income and affordable products and services; to raise their standard of living and achieve economic well being.
